HIP HOP LIVES ON VOL.1 MIXTAPE HOSTED BY TALIB KWELI AND DJ MOS PRECIOUS

Hip Hop Lives On Mixtape.

The Hip Hop Lives On Vol. 1 Mixtape offers what's been missing in the hip hop world...hip hop. Talib Kweli and DJ Mos Precious bring their pure talents into this project bringing together a collective of  talented artists into the studio.  Each track offers a different experience merging old school and new school without abandoning hip hop roots.  Most importantly, this mixtape gives us talent from the streets of St. Louis and branches out from there across the country.

When asked what was the brainchild that brought her Talib together for this monster mixtape, she answered, "To be honest, the brainchild that brought me and Talib Kweli was me. I wanted to bring hip hop to the forefront so I pitched the idea to Talib and he said lets go."

DJ Mos Precious.

That turned into what I'm describing as a monster hit but critics are using words like "dope tape" and "salute DJMosP"  The tracks are very hard to ignore especially if you are a lover for true hip hop as those who listened agree. DJ Mos Precious and Talib Kweli made sure every artist selected was represented from all over and not just St. Louis.  She also gives a huge shout out to all of the indie artists who participated..

When asked what was her favorite track, she found the question hard to answer because she "hand picked each track on the mixtape."

Many of my favorite tracks come from artists Bo Dean, Troy Story, J. Cole, Freaky Legacy, and Ashley S. You get the hard tracks, the slow tracks, the tracks that take us back. When you listen to tracks such as 2 Faced by Troy Story or Not Yet by Bo Dean (and that's just the tip of the iceberg) as well as others, you will know what I'm talking about.  As I listened to all the tracks, I looked at the reviews for and the number of both spins and downloads. The numbers and reviews don't lie.  This mixtape is a hit.

With the title ending with Volume One, I asked DJ Mos Precious about Volume Two.  She replied, "[The] volume 2 release is a secret but once i find out, Davisionaire blog will be the first to know."

If you haven't heard it, you need to go out and get it.  Interviews with some of the artists are coming soon.  You can get download this music from the following:
