Hip Hop Vs. Poetry Featuring Ackurate The Wise... (618)

MANY HIP HOP ARTISTS TODAY, ORIGINATED FROM WRITING POEMS AND SHORT STORIES. WE SPOKE WITH HIP HOP UPCOMING ARTIST ACKURATE THE WISE ABOUT HIS MUSIC AND LATEST MIXTAPE

DaVisionaire Video Blogger: Mos Precious talks with AckurateTheWise before his performance

Who is Ackurate, the artist? Ackurate is the voice of a kid who used to be voiceless. He is a vessel of energy to move people away from those negative vibes in life. Most of all though, he is a regular human being who just has a God- Given talent to create rather than destroy.
Please enlighten our readers with the background of Ackurate  such as past mixtapes and hobbies. Ackurate spends his time studying and perfecting his craft as an artist. Reading books and just writing in general are big hobbies. School is also a big focus in Ack's life, as well as just education in general.

As a fairly new but experience MC, what motivated the Ackurate Precision concept? The whole "Ackurate Precision" title came about kinda funny. Basically most people know me for collabs and just randomly spitting. AP represent exactly what I wanted to do, from picking beats, features and all the concepts. Being a humble person, I tend to help other artist and people as much as possible, but with this project I had to let people know where my soul lies when it comes to me as an artist.

How did you come up with your artist name Ackurate? Actually AckurateTheWise is the full name, Ackurate is just short. The name came from various people telling me that my creative way of thinking was "on point" and I really "hit the hearts of people". My pops help seal the deal with me adding ThaWise on the end since as a child, wisdom was one thing I always asked The Lord for.

Describe one of your best performance of your career? Honestly I don't have a favorite, I enjoy anytime I get on stage and rock it, I just enjoy the experience even if it's like a cypher or randomly spitting verses

What is your favorite track(s) on the Ackurate Precision mixtape and why? Favorite tracks? "Shadows" for the artist-listener connection. "Click" for the lyrical display. "Destined to Shine" for the chemistry within the collab.

Let’s get in depth with the mixtape. What is your favorite track on this mixtape and why? My favorite track would have to be "Shadows". It describes some of the pain in my past and explains a bit of why I tend to use my art for good.

Who are some of your favorite artists to listen to, either mainstream or underground? Who would you like to collaborate with? Thats an easy answer; Elzhi, Skyzoo, Joe Budden, Mos Def, Blu, Kendrick Lamar, there's a list but these influence me the most and always would be the ones I'd Collab with, specially Elzhi.

What do you have planned next? I plan to grow, to push myself to the limit as an artist and learn more about this thing we call music. And to connect with people, artist and listeners, I feel If you can do that right then opportunities open up tremendously.

What does Hip Hop means to you as a lyricist? Hiphop is a lifestyle. It is a way the unknown share their stories and situations in life to the public. It's kinda like a community of people who set aside their differences and let the vibes guide them. There's a lot more involved I know, but I'm still learning an growing.

What inspires you to make real hip hop music?  When you've lived in a society where negativity is enforced, sometimes you think about being different. I've been an outcast for a long time and as bad as the word sounds, I embrace it and it fuels my soul. One big thing is that, why would I want to spread a negative message to my people? We see that all the time in the media, so why do I need to be a clone? My family explained that whatever talent you get blessed with, you use it to bring light to the dark, and that's what I plan to do.
