Please introduce yourself to our readers.What city are you reppin?  

Ron G also known as Ron Montana from St Louis, Mo

When did you first get inspired to become a rapper and how did you get discovered as a artist?

I was inspired just by being in the studio with my homey Tank the Machine. I did a couple features for him and he was telling me I should do a project.  I could always rap but I didn't take it serious until midway through 2013, I'll say July of 2013.

What genre of music do you do and how is it different from other artists in the same genre?

I'm a hip hop artist/messenger. I'm different because I don't model myself after anyone. I'm my own person and I love to aggressively rap with intelligence but also be able to connect with all people.

Were you inspired throughout your career, if so who inspired you in the music industry growing up and why?

I was and still is inspired by Tupac's music.  Because I could feel his passion and hunger for change,  growth,  love, and fairness in a world so deceptive.

  How do you keep inspiration when creating music?

I maintain inspiration by understanding the task at hand which is to changes lives for the better and trying to maximize our full potential.  And I'm the oldest of six boys so I can't let my brothers down.  So I HAVE to be successful at something.

What is your legacy?

I want my legacy to be immortality. I want my music or name to be universal like Michael Jackson. His name rings bells throughout all generations, and he was the closest thing to God that we've gotten in a physical form since he's been gone. I feel I'm a God or king myself so I'm definitely looking to establish a prestigious legacy, one where I've helped many see the light of ascension. 

Tell us about one of your most diverse songs and why?

My most diverse song in my opinion is Black Y. T. E. I. C. O. S. Which is Society spelled backwards. And reason being is because I talked to all groups of people in that song as far as the black community goes but any other race would be able to identify what I lamented as well if they know what has been an Achilles heel of blacks getting better as a people instead of holding ourselves back.

What are some of your other talents?

I can draw, and I'm very good at football.  Even acting,  I was in the drama program in high school. I actually had a scholarship to do my acting but it didn't cover my whole tuition so I  end up going the community college route.

 Who are some of your favorite artists to listen too?

I listen to 2pac, Kevin Gates,  Nipsey Hussle,  Lil Boosie,  K Rino,  Killah Priest,  Tank the Machine,  Bo Dean,  Young Buck, Kendrick Lamar,  Jay Z, Lauryn Hill and Ron G just to name a few lol

 
Where to you see your career in 5 years?

In 5 years I see me heavily invading the game with a new wave of energy,  passion,  substance, and profound mission to elevate a city that's somewhat dead as far as the music scene goes to the outsiders.

Enlighten us with the projects you are working?

  I'm currently writing for my next project which I'm not going to give out the name just yet,  but very soon. I also have an album that me and Tank are going to release this year as well, we haven't gotten a name yet.  And a track that I have Louie Boy featured on called Self Destruct.

List some of the goals you want to accomplish this by the end of this year?

I want to work with a few artists,  Bo Dean and Rip James. Talk more business with Mos Precious.  Finish two albums,  travel out of town to do shows and gain a lot more exposure.

Please introduce yourself to our readers? What city are you reppin’? 

I am The Fro...#HashTagKing, Oprah’s Husband, Bovember but to most of the world…Bo Dean and I am from St Louis MO.

When did you first get inspired to become a rapper and how did you get discovered as an artist?

I was about 12 and I was just fascinated to hear artist put a bunch of sentences together and make it sound cool. So I gave I a shot.  I used to battle my friends using other peoples raps, then one day I kicked my own freestyle and my dudes rocked with it, It’s been a wrap ever since. After that I practiced and practiced and started dropping mixtapes in like 8^th grade and getting my name out there. #kobe

What genre of music do you do and how is it different from other artists in the same genre?

 HipHop/Rap. Man I can do it all pretty much. I can’t sing but I can write a dope R&B song though lol.  What sets me apart from other artist is I really go outside the box when it comes to concepts and songs. Were you inspired throughout your career, if so who inspired you in the music industry growing up and why?

Yes of course, Michael Jackson was my first inspiration, his passion, work ethic and talent is just incomparable. He will #FROever be the GOAT. Besides him, Nelly just for putting the Lou on the map. Jay Z, Fab, Dipset and Wayne are other big inspirations who inspired me to become the artist I am today.  #kobe

How do you keep inspiration when creating music?

I’m inspired by life situations in general. If you listen to Bovember3 (another plug for my newest release) you can hear that. I talk about life situations I have been through and what others have been through. I like making music that’s relatable and can make people feel certain types of ways when they listen to it. Music that makes people reminisce on past experiences etc. I am also inspired by other artist, competition makes me go harder as well.

What is your legacy?

To be one of the best to ever grace a stage and bless a mic. I know I can’t be here #FROever but my music can. So I try to make music that can withstand the test of time. To inspire the Inspired and uninspired. To make a difference in people’s lives whether it be through music or teaching or just a simple pep talk. God gave us all talents, it’s up to us to utilize them to their upmost potential. ..#kobe

Tell us about one of your most diverse songs and why?

I got two I want to talk discuss...One of my most diverse songs is “Cherry” off B3 (3^rd plug) it’s a story telling joint about a “love triangle”, nah my bad “square”. It’s a straight story with all the elements of plot and a lot of twist and turns and a big cliff hanger at the end that’ll have you anticipating the sequel. Plus a lot of people have been in these situations when dealing with relationships with certain types of lovers.

Also “Niggas Wit Degrees” man that might be one of my most personal tracks on there because I went through Hell and High Water to get my degree. I’m sure every college student can relate with this song. A straight Anthem for the college kids. #kobe

What are some of your other talents?

Besides music I am a high school English teacher. I should be a therapist or something like Dr. Phil, yea, Dr Dean, I‘m a great listener. I can draw, I like creating cartoons. Been doing that since I was a kid. And I’m a pretty cool person to be around. I can put a smile on your face, I think that’s a talent nowadays because everybody is always frowning and uptight. The artist that I listed that inspired me of course,. Where do you see your career in 5 years? 

Music will be my number one source of income, traveling, writing for other artist and dibbling and dabbling in other business ventures. Also starting a family of my own and create a cartoon series.

I’m working on some stuff that’ll make rappers whisper to themselves “SMH This nigga done it again” …#kobe

List some of the goals you want to accomplish this by the end of this year? 

Expand my brand, travel more, make more revenue off my music and bring the city together. Bring some unity into my neck of the woods. The relationships between local rappers and the consumers need to improve.

Meet KB Supastar

Please introduce yourself to our readers? What city are you reppin?   
I'm KB Supastar but for short you can just me K. :)  I am from St. Louis Missouri but currently in Atlanta Georgia.

When did you first get inspired to become a rapper and how did you get discovered as a artist? 
 I first got inspired to become a rapper when I seen Nelly take the world over.  With similar athletic backgrounds, upbringings, to see his success just made me say wow I CAN do this.
 
What genre of music do you do and how is it different from other artists in the same genre? 
I do Hip-Hop but it's somewhat cross-generational and expands to different demographics.  So that right there would be the definition of Pop.  Me being myself is ultimately what I feel makes me different than anybody in the genre. I don't talk about drugs, killing people, which ultimately I feels helps me reach different, more positive areas that most in hip hop can't reach. 

Were you inspired throughout your career, if so who inspired you in the music industry growing up and why?  
My mother
 
How do you keep inspiration when creating music? 
I'm young so life inspires me everyday.  Everyday I'm learning and everyday new things happen which inspire me to keep my music current.  Plus, there's nothing like making a new song!! That's inspiration enough!
 
What is your LEGACY? 
I would like my legacy to be somewhere other than in Music.  I want to effect the world positively outside of music and in the community.  So many issues in today's world and so few of us have a powerful enough voice.  One day I hope to have a powerful enough voice to make a change with certain things.
 
Tell us about one of your most diverse songs and why?  
One of my most diverse songs that have been released is my current single "She All Mine."  It highlights a me feeling a girl and she's feeling me just the same, but my subtle rejections keep her falling.  Falling enough to a point to at the end I HAVE to give in and claim her as mine.  It happens everyday, I just wanted to creatively put in song form.
 
What are some of your other talents?  Other talents I have is, I produce, I'm a great athlete, and exceptional in Madden Video Game.
 
Who are some of your favorite artists to listen too?  
Some of my favorite artists to listen to are still artists like Notorious B.I.G., Master P, Jay Z, DMX, Cash Money HotBoys.  I listen to them not only because they are some of the most successful hip hop artists ever, but also as a class to learn.

Where to you see your career in 5 years?  In 5 years I see myself on the Billboard Charts alongside music's best artist.  I see myself in a better spot than I am today, and that right there would a success.  As long as im progressing.
Enlighten us with the projects you are working? 
"She All Mine" has just been released and my upcoming debut mixtape is currently scheduled for a June 2014 Release Date.

List some of the goals you want to accomplish this by the end of this year?  
 By the end of this year I want to be able to have a recognizable name, brand in Hip Hip to where I can do a show anywhere in America and have at least 1,000 people in attendance.

Meet St. Orleans 

Please introduce yourself to our readers? What city are you reppin? 

Saint O. Born in New Orleans. Saint Louis been the homeplate since I was 12. Aviator Gang artist.  Also apart of The Force and Playaz Choice.  

When did you first get inspired to become a rapper and how did you get discovered as an artist

I first started rapping playing around with it when that cash money era began.  I always was a fan of the no limit movement but I actually moved to Saint Louis the year Juvenile blew up. I was already a fan of what they had been doing do the fact I was big on underground acts in New Orleans growing up there.  So I would say it started when I got to Saint Louis as an outlet to deal with the whole new environment I was dealing with.  I really started to take it serious until high school when I started to really learn how to differentiate myself and stand out. I was discovered around the time DTP Madness was in Saint Louis. That's when people started to know me. That's was around 08 I think. I dropped about 4 or 5 mixtapes. Then, when "We Dont Luv Em" picked up in the club in STL and KC and my fan base been growing ever since.

What genre of music do you do and how is it different from other artists in the same genre?

Hip Hop of course but I really hate being labeled anything. Imma creator. I love music. It’s who I am so I’m not opposed to doing any kind of music. It’s just hard finding people who think like that so it’s like as a artist I feel I’m fighting to get out of this box people love to throw me in.

 

 Were you inspired throughout your career, if so who inspired you in the music industry growing up and why? 

Music always been around me. I grew up in New Orleans and St. Louis but the time I spent in New Orleans I was far from a sheltered kid.  I of course was inspired by Pac, Big, Snoop but also by the music I grew up hearing in New Orleans.  I loved Bounce music. Also jazz and blues.  My uncle and my brother were artist. My uncle was grammy nominated so that definitely inspired me. My brother was signed to a independent label when I was younger so he inspired me. That’s how I learned how to rap learning his verses and acting like they were mine. I’m inspired by all types of music though.  Even, the people who are not popular,  I feel artist should always feed off anything that moves them rather it be music, people, or situations.

How do you keep inspiration when creating music?

By being aware of whats around me.  I try to listen more than I speak now.  Been actually cutting back on tweeting and just reading my timeline. Things like that.  When Im feeling uninspired I do things like watch old videos from people like Snoop.  It take me back to when I looked at rappers like super heros.  That inspires me too.  I feel like now they we have so much access to information we dont really look at artist or appreciate artist like we used to.  I also change my environment a lot. Travel.  That inspires me.

What is your LEGACY?

I couldn't answer that yet. I think as I accomplish things I can answer that better.  But if anything I would say I'm one who cares about people and about music.  Its not just about me being known as the best. But ask me that in 10 years.

Tell us about one of your most diverse songs and why?

I would say "In Due Time".  Its diverse because everybody can relate to having to be patient and have hope that something we work out in the end.

What are some of your other talents?

Im a pretty good writer, directing videos, I hooped in high school, I can cook too. I also finished college.  I think that is a talent.

Who are some of your favorite artists to listen too?

Jay-Z, Kanye, Currensy,  Bob Marley, Biggie, Fab, Ross, Stalley, Kid Cudi, Green Day, MGMT, Daft Punk, Chance the Rapper, Rockwell Knuckles, M-Eazy, anybody Im cool with also.

Where to you see your career in 5 years?

Working like hell on tour. Few awards in the trophy case w/ a classic car collection and some kids and a wife.

Enlighten us with the projects you are working?

I have a project in mind but right now Im focused on giving my fanbase what they want.  So whatever my growing fan base demands is what I will be dropping.  Im always making music though. I can drop a project today tomorrow and next week If I feel like it. Right now the focus is this new single "Hella Good" produced by Blame Wiz. Fortunate enough to be sponsored by Think Smart new clothing line that pretty dope sky is the limit.

List some of the goals you want to accomplish this by the end of this year?

This year I want to recreate myself, tour through the year.  Grown my fanbase to a certain figure, launch my new official merch line, few other goals I dont want to give away.
