Big Night of Local Talent Personified at
the Traffic Music Awards
The
Sound Bar on Florissant Road was full of energy Sunday March 9th as
the Traffic Music Awards provided the fuel.
There was a huge mix of entertainment, special guests, local
celebrities, and surprises throughout the night.
From
the second people walked into the door the place was packed with the best in
local talent. From the top radio DJs to
the best record companies, videographers and more, the TMAs did not disappoint
when it came to nonstop entertainment.
Some of the winners of the night included Malik DaBoss (Author of the
Year); Smerf Dert (CD of the Year); C-Sharp w/Mos Precious (Music Video of the
Year); and DJ Boogie Corleone (DJ of the Year).
Both the winners and nominees showed up and showed out with non-stop
hard lyrics, powerful vocals and heartfelt dedications.
D.J./DaVisionaire CEO MVP Mos Precious
DaVisionaire
Blog CEO/DJ Mos Precious enjoyed the win and had this to say, “I feel that the
experience was wonderful, receiving the award from C- Sharp for our video Put the Pistols Down marks the first
award I have ever received in this city while being involved in the music
scene. Outside all the other ventures I partake in, this award means the most.”

White Eagle.
Her
win was felt along with the other winners, nominees of the night. It was truly a night to represent for
everyone on both sides of the river.
Everyone was represented no matter where you were from in the area.
One of the biggest performances of the night belonged to D.J. B.O.S.S. of Sho Me Records with his hit Bread Over Stupid Shit. B.O.S.S. was joined on the stage by Jay B. Johnson and Tek-Thug with a group of powerful dancers. He not only gave a powerful performance, he ended it with a dedication to Sho Me Records’ in house producer GoHardOnThaTrak.
(From Left To Right) Jay B. Johnson:
Founder of Sho Me Records; Tek-Thug: Sho Me Artist/Producer & DJ B.O.S.S.:
Sho Me CEO/Producer/Artist
Jay
B. Johnson of Sho Me Records commented on the energy of the performance, “The
crowd there was full of love and support and my boy Boss absolutely killed the
stage.”
Unlike
other award shows which talk about winners, losers, and snubs the TMAs are a
different type of party. Every nominee
brought energy and talent to the stage and created a chain of powerful
performances and great showmanship. From the beginning to the end, it was more
like a show than it was a competition.
Now that the artists, authors, videographers, DJs, and show hosts have
all gone back to their posts, they’re all looking forward to returning again
for the Traffic Music Awards 2015.
